Kindergarten to Grade 6 - "Community Program"

Our Regular "Community" Program provides instruction in all subject areas for students in Kindergarten through Grade 6.  This program is offered to residents of Parkallen and Allendale, but to surrounding communities if we have space available.

Our teachers are trained in Balanced Literacy and Writers' Workshop, in terms of Literacy Instruction, and are quite competent at providing solid Numeracy instruction.

The learning is enhanced through regular field trips and guest speakers. Students have excellent access to technology to support learning. We have high quality programming in the fine arts with an ORFF music program, musical and dramatic performance opportunities, and engaging visual arts projects that are tied to curriculum.

The percentage of our students achieving the standard of excellence is higher than the provincial average in all subject areas of the Provincial Achievement Tests.
